
Fragrant mother’s cabbage rolls are an unforgettable taste of childhood. But they have one significant problem: they are long and difficult to cook. Then a simple and quick express option comes to the aid of busy housewives – lazy cabbage rolls. Keep a selection of recipes for all occasions!
1. Lazy cabbage rolls in a pan

Classic lazy cabbage rolls in the form of cutlets in sour cream and tomato sauce.
You will need: 50 g rice, 100 ml water, 1 onion, 1 carrot, 400 g cabbage, 500 g minced meat, 200 g sour cream, 200 g tomato paste, spices.
Cooking: Finely chop the onion and grate the carrots on a coarse grater, and then fry them for 5 minutes. Chop the cabbage, add to the vegetables, cover with water and simmer under the lid for half an hour.
Mix minced meat with boiled rice, stewed cabbage and spices, form cutlets and fry them until golden brown. And then fill them with a mixture of sour cream and tomato paste and simmer for another 40 minutes under the lid.
2. Lazy cabbage rolls in the oven

Lazy cabbage rolls from the oven are less oily because they do not need to be fried in oil.
You will need: 500 g minced meat, 1 cup boiled rice, 1 egg, 1 carrot, 2 onions, 1 head of cabbage, 5 tbsp. tomato paste and sour cream, 1.5 cups of water, spices.
Cooking: Chop and fry the onions and carrots until soft, and separate half of the frying. Add it to the minced meat along with rice, egg, spices and chopped cabbage in a blender.
And the first part of the frying is stewed with tomato paste and sour cream. Add water with spices to the sauce, mix and simmer for another 5 minutes. Chop a little more cabbage, put it on the bottom of the mold, and spread the minced meatballs on top. Pour in the sauce and bake for 40-50 minutes at 180 degrees.
3. Lazy cabbage rolls in a slow cooker

A slow cooker is the same option when you set it and forget it, so it’s very convenient!
You will need: 1 glass of rice, 300 g minced meat, 1 head of cabbage, 1 onion, 2 carrots, 1 tbsp. tomato paste, spices.
Cooking: Chop the cabbage, chop the onion and grate the carrot. Put the minced meat in a slow cooker and cook for 15 minutes in the baking mode. Break it up with a spatula, add vegetables and a glass of rice, spices, tomato paste and about 1.5 cups of water. Cook everything for about 40 minutes in the mode for pilaf.
4. Lazy cabbage rolls in layers

For this recipe, the cabbage does not need to be shredded, but the leaves will need to be lightly boiled.
You will need: 1 head of cabbage, 400 g minced meat, 150 g sour cream, 1 glass of rice, 2 onions, 1 pepper, 2 tomatoes, 1 tbsp. tomato paste, spices.
Cooking: Boil rice, lightly fry 1 onion and add them to the minced meat along with spices. Separately chop the rest of the vegetables and stew for 10-15 minutes with a little water until soft. Put a layer of cabbage leaves, a third of minced meat, sour cream, a third of vegetables into the mold – and so on until the end of the ingredients. Cover with foil and bake for 40 minutes at 180 degrees, and then another 20 minutes without foil.
5. Lazy cabbage rolls with Chinese cabbage

It will be very similar, but still a little different.
You will need: 500 g Beijing cabbage, 100 g rice, 2 onions, 500 g minced meat, 1 egg, 1 carrot, 1 tbsp. tomato paste, 150 g sour cream, spices.
Cooking: Finely chop 1 onion, boil the rice and add them to the minced meat with egg and spices. Chop the softest part of Chinese cabbage there and form cutlets. Send them to the oven for 20 minutes at 200 degrees.
Grind the remaining onion with carrots, fry, and add the chopped hard part of the cabbage to them. Stew everything for a couple of minutes, pour in sour cream and tomatoes, and then – 500 ml of water and spices. Keep on fire for another 5-10 minutes. Pour the sauce over the cabbage rolls and bake for another half an hour.
6. Lazy cabbage rolls with buckwheat

In fact, bulgur and any other grains that you like will do.
You will need: 500 g minced meat, 1 onion, 5 tbsp. buckwheat, 150 g cabbage, 2 tbsp. tomato paste and sour cream, 1 tbsp. flour, spices.
Cooking: Add chopped onion, boiled buckwheat and spices to minced meat. Chop and stew the cabbage for about 10 minutes, and add it there. Form cutlets, roll in flour, put in a mold, add a little water and send for 20 minutes in the oven at 180 degrees. Mix the tomato, sour cream, flour and another 250 ml of water, pour the stuffed cabbage with sauce and bake for another 30 minutes.
7. Lazy cabbage rolls with mushrooms

By the way, it is very tasty even without minced meat – in a lean version.
You will need: 200 g minced meat, 250 g mushrooms, 1 onion, 1 carrot, 400 g cabbage, 100 g rice, 30 g tomato paste, 50 g flour, spices.
Cooking: Boil the rice, and during this time finely chop and fry all the vegetables, except for the cabbage. Shred the cabbage separately and pour boiling water for 10 minutes. Mix all the ingredients, add spices, form cutlets and roll them in flour. Put it in for mu and pour tomato paste, diluted with water. Bake for an hour at 180 degrees.
8. Lazy cabbage rolls with chicken

A lighter and more dietary option!
You will need: 400 g minced chicken, 150 g cabbage, 1 carrot, 1 onion, 0.5 cup flour, 1 egg, 0.5 cup water, 1 tbsp. tomato paste and sour cream.
Cooking: Pass all the vegetables through a meat grinder along with minced chicken and mix. Add the egg and flour according to the consistency, form cutlets and fry them lightly. Pour water with tomato and sour cream, and simmer under a lid for 40 minutes over low heat.
9. Lazy cabbage rolls with sauerkraut

You may be surprised, but sauerkraut will work too!
You will need: 400 g sauerkraut, 400 g minced meat, 200 g rice, 2 onions, 1 tbsp. tomato paste, spices.
Cooking: Chop and fry the onion until translucent, add cabbage and grated carrots to it, and simmer together for 5-7 minutes. Add the tomato and minced meat with spices, and continue to simmer until tender. Lastly, add rice, cover with water and leave covered for about half an hour.
10. Lazy cabbage rolls with pepper

Sweet bell pepper not only does not spoil the recipe, but also decorates it!
You will need: 500 g minced meat, 1 kg cabbage, 1 carrot, 2 peppers, 2 onions, 3 tbsp. sour cream, 180 g of rice, 1 bunch of cilantro, 4 tomatoes, spices.
Cooking: Chop the onion and lightly fry it with grated carrots. Add finely chopped pepper, chopped cabbage, chopped greens, and a little more stew. Put half of the vegetables in a mold, and on top – minced meat with boiled rice. Cover with the rest of the vegetables and pour over the grated tomato sauce with sour cream. Bake for 40 minutes under foil at 200 degrees, and then another 10 minutes without it.
11. Lazy cabbage rolls with zucchini

Zucchini gives the dish even more juice.
You will need: 500 g minced meat, 400 g cabbage, 200 g zucchini, 100 g rice, 1 onion, 1 carrot, 250 ml tomato juice, 2 tbsp. tomato paste, 1 egg, spices.
Cooking: Boil rice and add it to minced meat along with spices and grated zucchini. Chop and fry the onions with carrots, and also add to the minced meat. And at the end, finely chop the cabbage into it, pour in the egg, mix and form cutlets. Put them in a saucepan, pour tomato juice with tomato paste, cover and simmer for about 45 minutes over low heat.
12. Lazy cabbage rolls with oatmeal

We recommend ground chicken or ground turkey for this recipe.
You will need: 400 g cabbage, 1 onion, 2 tbsp. tomato paste, 500 g minced meat, 1 egg, 3 tbsp. yogurt and tomato paste, 0.5 cups of oatmeal, spices.
Cooking: Chop the onion, grate the carrots, finely chop and mash the cabbage, and add all this to the minced meat. Add cereal and an egg there, mix and leave for 15 minutes. Form cutlets, put in a saucepan and pour sauce from 1.5 cups of water, yogurt and tomatoes. Carcasses after boiling for about 40 minutes over low heat.
13. Lazy cabbage rolls with cheese

Cheese definitely won’t ruin this dish!
You will need: 300 g cabbage, 1 carrot, 1 onion, 400 g minced meat, 80 g rice, 100 g cheese, spices, 2 tbsp. tomato paste.
Cooking: Boil the rice until cooked, finely chop the cabbage, grate the carrots and chop the onion. Mix it all together with minced meat, form cutlets and fry. Put them in a mold, pour about a third of water with tomato paste, sprinkle with grated cheese and put in the oven for 20 minutes at 180 degrees.
14. Lazy cabbage rolls with pumpkin

One of the most original options for cooking lazy cabbage rolls.
You will need: 1.5 cups of boiled rice, 800 g minced meat, 500 g cabbage, 300 g pumpkin, 400 g sour cream, 4 tbsp. tomato paste, spices.
Cooking: Finely chop the cabbage and pour boiling water for 5 minutes. Coarsely grate the pumpkin and mix it with cabbage, boiled rice and minced meat. Form cutlets, lightly fry and put in a mold. Mix sour cream, tomato paste and 100 ml of water, pour lazy cabbage rolls and bake for 40 minutes at 200 degrees.
15. Lazy cabbage rolls with potatoes

Thanks to the fact that everything is stewed together, it turns out very tasty!
You will need: 1 kg potatoes, 500 g minced meat, 300 g cabbage, 3 tbsp. rice, 1 egg, 1 carrot, 1 onion, 2 tbsp. sour cream and tomato paste, spices.
Cooking: Finely chop the cabbage, boil the rice and add them to the minced meat with egg and spices. Form into small patties and lightly brown. Fry onions and carrots, add tomato paste and sour cream to them, and stew. Put coarsely chopped potatoes in a saucepan, lazy cabbage rolls on top, and pour over the sauce. Add water so that it covers the food almost completely, and carcasses for about 50 minutes under the lid.
