
Do you think that marmalade is necessarily store-bought slices in sugar or bears from small packages? But no! Moreover, it is easy to cook it yourself without special equipment. Catch a selection of step-by-step recipes on how to make marmalade at home!
1. Homemade marmalade – a classic recipe

Only four ingredients and minimum effort!
You will need: 300 ml fruit drink or juice, 40 g gelatin, 160 g sugar, a pinch of citric acid.
Cooking:
1. Mix fruit drink, citric acid, sugar and gelatin, mix and leave until the gelatin swells according to the instructions.

2. Put the juice on the stove and heat until all the gelatin has dissolved. Don’t forget to stir.

3. Pour the mixture through a sieve into molds, cool to room temperature and put in the refrigerator for several hours. Cut marmalade into small pieces.

2. Homemade pear marmalade

The perfect choice for fall or winter.
You will need: 7 large sweet pears, 2 cm ginger root, 3 tbsp. honey, 1 lemon, 1 tsp. cinnamon, thyme.
Cooking:
1. Peel the pears and cut them into thin slices. Place them in a heavy-bottomed saucepan along with the grated ginger and the juice of half a lemon.
2. Bring to a boil and leave to simmer over medium heat for 20 minutes without a lid.
3. Add honey, cinnamon and thyme, and leave the marmalade to stand covered for 15 minutes.
4. Cool the dessert and serve.
3. Berry marmalade in sugar

The recipe uses raspberries and red currants, but feel free to experiment.
You will need: 500 g raspberries, 500 g red currants, 900 g sugar, a pinch of citric acid.
Cooking:
1. Fill the berry with water so that it slightly covers it, and boil until softened.
2. Rub the berry through a sieve and reduce by half. Then add sugar with citric acid and boil for another 40 minutes.
3. Pour the syrup into molds with a layer of 2-3 cm, let it harden, cut into cubes and roll them in sugar.
4. Marmalade with agar-agar

Marmalade on agar is more dense, jelly, and is well suited for curly molds.
You will need: 400 ml juice, 1 cup sugar, 2 tsp. agar-agar.
Cooking:
1. Take any freshly squeezed juice, ideally with pulp.
2. Mix 300 ml of juice with agar-agar and leave for half an hour.
3. Add sugar to the remaining 100 ml of juice and bring the mixture to a boil. Add the agar-agar mixture there.
4. Boil marmalade for 5-7 minutes, stirring. Remove from heat and leave covered for another 10 minutes, then pour into molds and let set.
5. Homemade citrus marmalade

Very aromatic and rich!
You will need: 700 g oranges, 1 lemon, 1 lime, 500 g sugar.
Cooking:
1. Remove the zest, chop it into very thin strips and dip for a minute in boiling water with a colander.
2. Peel the fruit from all films and seeds, disassemble into slices and put in a saucepan with zest and flowing juice.
3. Add sugar, mix and cook everything together for about 1.5-2 hours on a small fire under the lid, stirring occasionally.
4. Arrange the finished marmalade in jars and put it in the refrigerator.
6. Lemonade and syrup marmalade

If a little lemonade and syrup disappears at home, feel free to put them into action.
You will need: 250 ml of lemonade, 0.5 cups of syrup, 400 g of sugar, 30 g of gelatin, 0.5 tbsp. citric acid.
Cooking:
1. Fill gelatin with lemonade and leave for a couple of hours.
2. Add sugar, citric acid, syrup to it and boil over low heat until smooth. Don’t let the mixture boil.
3. Pour the workpiece into wet molds and put it in a cool place.
4. When the marmalade hardens, roll it in sugar.
7. Fruit puree marmalade

Another interesting homemade marmalade recipelovia, but this time with pectin and glucose syrup.
You will need: 200 g fruit puree, 200 g sugar, 100 g glucose syrup, 10 g pectin.
Cooking:
1. Heat fruit puree and add pectin and 20 g of sugar to it so that there are no lumps.
2. Bring the mixture to a boil and add sugar with glucose. Continue to cook, stirring, until a dense homogeneous consistency.
3. Pour marmalade into molds, cool and cut.
8. Kiwi and banana marmalade

Here, the unusual texture of marmalade is especially attractive.
You will need: 2 bananas, 2 kiwis, 40 ml of water, 9 g of agar-agar, honey, coconut flakes.
Cooking:
1. Thoroughly smash the peeled fruits with a blender until smooth.
2. Soak agar-agar in water according to the instructions.
3. Send fruit to the stove, bring to a boil and add agar-agar with honey to taste.
4. Boil the mixture for a couple of minutes and pour it into molds, and when it hardens, sprinkle with coconut flakes.
9. Pumpkin marmalade

There is sweetness, and spices, and a rich pumpkin flavor.
You will need: 1 kg pumpkin, 1 kg sugar, 70 g ginger, 1.5 lemons, spices.
Cooking:
1. Cut the pumpkin into medium cubes, sprinkle with sugar and leave overnight on the table under the film.
2. Mix blender-blended lemons with peel and grated ginger. Add spices and fill the pumpkin.
3. Put everything in a large saucepan, bring to a boil and boil for about an hour.
4. If desired, additionally knead the marmalade with a pusher and arrange it in jars.
10. Onion marmalade

The most unusual marmalade you can make at home.
You will need: 1 kg of onion, 250 ml of white or rose wine, 250 g of sugar, 50 g of butter, 50 ml of vegetable oil, spices to taste.
Cooking:
1. Cut the onion into thin half rings and simmer it for 5 minutes in a mixture of two oils.
2. Add sugar and salt with spices to taste, and then simmer everything together for about an hour over low heat.
3. Add wine, evaporate, check the marmalade for spices and stew for another 15 minutes.
4. Pour it into sterilized jars, close and leave to brew for a week.
