A convenient and fairly safe method of eyelash extension is used to add charm to a woman’s image with an emphasis on the eyes. Extensions can make the look lively, deep, emphasize the shape of the eye, strengthen the bend line. To achieve the goal, it is important to choose the cilia of the desired shape and density based on the uniqueness of the eyes of each woman. Eyelash extensions are carried out by certified lash makers in beauty centers. Of course, you can build up at home, but it’s not easy to do it yourself with high quality and with the desired effect the first time. The best thing is to trust a knowledgeable master with a good reputation.
The future image is selected at the request of the client, but do not neglect the advice of experienced lash makers. There are several classifications of the eyelash extension procedure, but they all differ in the following positions:
- ➢by color
- ➢on the curvature of the eyelashes
- ➢by fastening technology, volume and order of gluing
- ➢by effect
Artificially extended eyelashes are very popular among women of different age categories. Eyelashes beautifully and effectively framing the eyes are able to make the image mysterious and bewitching, bright and playful for a long time without the use of mascara and contour pencil. Thick and long eyelashes, with a fox or puppet effect, as in the picture, are especially appropriate for important events: receptions, weddings, photo shoots. For those who prefer a natural look and nude shades of makeup, a natural effect is perfect.
The shelf life of extended eyelash extensions depends on the material, the skill of the lash maker and the rate of renewal of native hairs. In young women, the life of an eyelash is from one and a half to two months, in older women – up to three. It is important not to forget about the need to visit the master about once every two weeks for correction.
Type of extension by color
The color for eyelash extensions, like all other cosmetics, can be chosen based on the woman’s color type. To create a harmonious look and the desired effect, it is not necessary to build up with the usual black eyelashes, you can try brown, gray or colored tones.
brown eyelashes
The brown shade is perfect for the eyelashes of fair-skinned blondes or red-haired girls, due to its softness and naturalness. You should not use very light brown or beige tones, but it is better to mix the hairs with black eyelashes – this will make the look deep and mysterious. Dark browns are suitable for any skin, hair and eye color.
gray eyelashes
It is better to use gray eyelashes for extensions in combination with brown or black; this shade is rarely used separately. Such colors are most in harmony with blond hair and pale skin, and it is important to choose the right palette of shades, and the distribution of colors in the right order during the eyelash extension procedure.
Black eyelashes
A classic color scheme that is far from suitable for everyone, but which is difficult to refuse. Eyes framed with black fluffy eyelashes are always attractive, while it is worth remembering that the black color both highlights and emphasizes the flaws that they are. Black eyelashes are definitely suitable only for brunettes, and the rest should think about adding other colors to their eye makeup – brown, gray, dark blue.
colored eyelashes
Colored eyelashes are built up when creating an extraordinary look for a party, show or art event. Green, purple, red, blue shades are used. You can stick only colored tips, you can zone the colors in the corners or in the middle of the eye, add shiny rhinestones.
Type of eyelash extension
The created image depends not only on the color, but also on the type of bending of the cilia during extension. Here, the well-known classification of hair bends by letters is applied:
J-bend
J is the least curved and not very popular shape. Such cilia are appropriate for increasing the length and adding the density of hairs.
Curve B
The hairs are slightly more curved than the J curve. The shape has a natural look and is great for those with perfect eyes, because it highlights the natural beauty. And such hairs are very popular for eyelash extensions in older women who do not want excessive splendor, so as not to look vulgar.
Curve C
The most versatile bend in extensions and the most commonly used by lashmakers. If a woman has a slight curve on her eyelashes by nature, then this is the best option for getting the effect of open eyes. Such a light twisted look is obtained when using mascara.
Curve D
A rather strong bend, which, when built up, gives a puppet effect, but helps to hide the overhanging eyelid. Eyelashes look like curled with tongs, which makes the look soft and incredibly feminine.
Curve L
The L-curve achieves the most exotic effects of eyelash extensions. They help women who constantly wear glasses to emphasize their eyes, with deep-set eyes – to highlight the corners, with the problem of drooping eyelids – to mask this undesirable effect.
Type of extension according to the fastening technology, volume and gluing order
There are two main attachment technologies for eyelash extensions:
Beam
Used by makeup artists for an instant effect of fluffy eyelashes when creating an image for a big event: going out, filming, photo shoots, fashion show, wedding, anniversary. Bundles of artificial hairs are attached to the skin of the eyelid and at the same time to adjacent eyelashes. There can be many hairs in the bundle, it all depends on the desired result. The procedure is carried out quite quickly, but the end result does not last long, since the attachment to the skin is weak and if one beam disappears, then unaesthetic bald spots form, which spoils the image irrevocably.
Ciliary
This build-up is the most common method used by lash masters everywhere. Artificial cilia – one, two, five – are glued to natural ones, without the participation of the skin of the eyelid.
Depending on the materials used by the masters, eyelash extension can be:
- ➢Japanese (or Indonesian) when natural animal hairs (mink) are used
- ➢American, if the material of artificial eyelashes is silicone or rubber
- ➢European, where not only polymer monofilament materials are used, but also a special fastening scheme that repeats the growth sequence of native cilia.
And depending on the number of artificial cilia attached to each natural hair, there are types of eyelash extensions by volume:
- Incomplete or extension by zones (corners, middle)
- 1D or one to one – the classic version
- 2D or two to one – double volume
- 3D or three to one – triple volume
- 4D and 5D, respectively, three or four to one – lush Hollywood volumes
Depending on the order and sequence of gluing…
