
Chicken legs in the oven – a universal hot dish. They can be baked in a form, foil or sleeve, with different marinades, sauces and vegetables. We’ve put together a selection of delicious recipes for you!
1. Chicken legs baked in a sleeve

Due to the tightness of the sleeve, the legs are juicy and tender.
You will need: 600 g chicken legs, 60 ml vegetable oil, 1 tbsp. balsamic, 2 tbsp. soy sauce, 1 tbsp. granular mustard, garlic, spices.
Cooking: Mix all the ingredients for the marinade and add spices to taste. Put the chicken legs in a sleeve, pour the marinade over, tie off and mix well. Leave them on the table for an hour, and then bake for 30 minutes in the oven at 180 degrees.
2. Chicken legs in foil

Another way to keep all the juices in chicken meat.
You will need: 1.5 kg chicken legs, spices, lemon.
Cooking: Rinse the chicken legs, roll them well in spices and sprinkle with lemon juice. Leave to marinate for 10 minutes and wrap 1-2 pieces in foil. Bake in the oven for 30-35 minutes at 180 degrees.
3. Chicken legs in mayonnaise

You can argue for a long time whether mayonnaise is good for the oven, but the chicken in it is too good!
You will need: 600 g chicken legs, 1 pack of mayonnaise, spices and herbs, garlic.
Cooking: Mix all the spices, add them to the mayonnaise and add crushed garlic to taste there. Densely roll the chicken legs in the mixture, put in a mold and bake for 35 minutes at 180 degrees.
4. Chicken legs with onions in the oven

A versatile marinade can be easily improved by changing the set of spices.
You will need: 600 g chicken legs, 1 onion, 1 head of garlic, 1 tbsp. olive oil, 1.5 tbsp. lemon juice, 1 tsp paprika, spices, thyme.
Cooking: Cut the onion into rings, lightly chop the thyme and finely chop the garlic. Mix olive oil with lemon juice and spices, and mix everything together with chicken legs. Leave the chicken to marinate for an hour, transfer to a mold and bake for about 40 minutes at 180 degrees under foil, and then another 5-10 minutes without it.
5. Chicken legs in kefir

Kefir can be replaced with plain yogurt or medium-fat sour cream.
You will need: 700 g of chicken legs, 1 head of garlic, 200 ml of kefir, spices.
Cooking: Fill the chicken with kefir, add grated garlic and a set of spices to taste. Stir and leave to marinate in the refrigerator for a couple of hours or overnight. Spread the legs on parchment and bake in the oven for 30-40 minutes at 180 degrees.
6. Chicken legs baked in ketchup

Any ready-made tomato sauce you like will also work.
You will need: 5 chicken legs, 2 tbsp. ketchup, 1 tbsp. olive oil, 2 cloves of garlic, turmeric, curry, paprika.
Cooking: Mix ketchup, olive oil and spices until smooth and coat each chicken leg with marinade. Put them tightly in a mold, add crushed garlic and bake under foil for 20 minutes at 200 degrees, and then another 10 minutes at 180 without foil.
7. Chicken legs in mustard-honey marinade

We highly recommend grainy mustard because it is much spicier.
You will need: 8 chicken legs, 4 tbsp. honey, 2 tbsp. mustard, 1 tbsp. paprika, spices.
Cooking: Mix half of the honey and the rest of the ingredients for the marinade, coat the chicken with it and leave it on the table for half an hour. Put the chicken legs on parchment and bake for 30-40 minutes in the oven at 200 degrees. 10 minutes before the end, brush the legs with the remaining honey.
8. Chicken legs in soy sauce

And another versatile sauce for roasting chicken in the oven!
You will need: 600 g chicken legs, 150 ml soy sauce, 50 g tomato paste, 3 cloves of garlic, ginger, spices.
Cooking: Mix soy sauce with spices, grated ginger and garlic. You can add sugar or honey to taste. Put the chicken legs in a dish, generously cover with marinade and leave for 15 minutes. Bake at 200 degrees for 15 minutes, and then turn over and bake the same amount more.
9. Breaded Chicken Legs

Amazing crispy crust – just what you need!
You will need: 8 chicken legs, 80 g breadcrumbs, 1 egg, 2-3 tbsp. grated cheese, spices.
Cooking: Mix crackers, finely grated cheese, spices and salt to taste. Whisk the egg separately. Dip each leg first in the beaten egg, then in the breadcrumbs, and live on parchment. Bake for about 35 minutes at 200 degrees.
10. Chicken legs with cheese

If desired, add chopped greens to the marinade.
You will need: 1 kg chicken legs, 150 g cheese, 100 g yogurt, garlic, spices.
Cooking: Mix yogurt with crushed garlic and spices. Cut the cheese into thin slices and put them under the skin of the chicken. Arrange the legs in a mold, fill with yogurt and bake for about 30-40 minutes at 180 degrees.
11. Chicken legs in dough

Feel free to take ready-made puff pastry without yeast.
You will need: 1 pack of dough, 6 chicken legs, 1 tsp each paprika, suneli hops and pepper, 70 ml of soy sauce, 1 egg yolk, garlic.
Cooking: Roll chicken legs in spices and crushed garlic. Pour them with soy sauce, mix well and lightly fry on both sides. Roll out the dough and cut into thin long strips. Wrap the legs tightly with these stripes, brush with yolk, put on parchment and bake for half an hour in the oven at 200 degrees.
12. Chicken legs in a tomato-wine marinade

A very delicious recipe with Italian touches!
You will need: 8 chicken legs, 4 tomatoes, 1 onion, 4 tbsp. olive oil, 1 bunch basil, 1 tsp. sugar, 2 tsp salt, 1 clove of garlic, 0.5 cups of red wine, a handful of olives.
Cooking: Finely chop the onion and garlic and fry in olive oil. Pour in the wine and evaporate the alcohol over high heat for 3-5 minutes. Peel the skins off the tomatoes and finely chop them along with the basil and olives. Add to the onion with wine along with spices, and simmer the sauce for 10 minutes.
Put the chicken legs in a dish and pour over the sauce. Cover with foil and put in the oven for 20 minutes at 180 degrees. Then remove the foil, cover the legs with sauce and bake for another 10 minutes.
13. Chicken legs with lemon in the oven

Great recipe for a holiday table!
You will need: 10 chicken legs, 1 onion, 1 lemon, 1 tbsp. salt, garlic powder and paprika, 1 tsp each. pepper and thyme, 2 tbsp. butter.
Cooking: Mix all the dry spices and rub the chicken legs well with them. Fry them lightly on both sides in half the butter. Put the chopped onion on the bottom of the form, and the chicken on top. Spread a lemon slice and a piece of butter on each leg, and put everything in the oven for 40-50 minutes at 180 degrees.
14. Chicken legs with potatoes

Choose this dish if you need meat immediately with a side dish.
You will need: 6 chicken legs, 5 potatoes, 1 onion, 2 tbsp. olive oil, 100 g sour cream, spices.
Cooking: Mix sour cream with spices and herbs to taste, and marinate the chicken in it for an hour. Cut the potatoes into thin plates, and the onion into half rings. Toss them with olive oil and spices, and spread in an even layer on the bottom of the dish.
Spread the chicken on top, pour out the rest of the marinade, cover with foil and bake for an hour at 180 degrees. Then remove the foil and brown the legs for another 15 minutes.
15. Chicken legs with vegetables in the oven

Of course, any vegetables will do!
You will need: 6 chicken legs, 1 zucchini, 1 eggplant, 200 g cauliflower, 1 onion, 3 tomatoes, greens, 2 tbsp. vegetable oil, 2 cloves of garlic, green onions, spices, garlic.
Cooking: Mix oil, crushed garlic and spices to taste, and rub chicken legs with marinade. Peel and cut all vegetables into medium-sized pieces. Boil fresh cauliflower for a couple of minutes first. Spread the chicken with vegetables evenly over the shape, sprinkle with herbs and bake for 30 minutes at 200 degrees.
