1. Millet porridge on the water

The most delicious and crumbly porridge is obtained from bright yellow cereals.
You will need: 3 cups water, 1 cup millet, 1 tsp. salt, 30 g butter.
Cooking: Rinse the millet, fill it with water, salt and cook for 15 minutes after boiling. Remove the porridge from the heat, add the butter and cover with a lid for 10 minutes.
2. Millet porridge with milk

You can change the ratio of milk and water as you wish.
You will need: 1 glass of water, 2 glasses of milk, 200 g of millet, a pinch of sugar, salt, 40 g of butter.
Cooking: Pour washed millet with cold water, salt and boil for 10 minutes. Pour in warm milk, add sugar and continue cooking for another 7 minutes. At the end, add oil, cover and wrap with a warm towel for 15 minutes.
3. Millet porridge with pumpkin

Rinse the millet at least 5-6 times.
You will need: 200 g millet, 150 g pumpkin pulp, 3 cups water, 1 tsp. sugar, 0.5 tsp salt, 30 g butter.
Cooking: Rinse the millet, cut the pumpkin into small cubes. Put everything in a saucepan, cover with water, add salt and sugar. Boil porridge for 15 minutes after boiling, add oil and remove from heat.
4. Millet porridge with pumpkin in the oven

For baking, use clay pots, ceramic or cast iron utensils.
You will need: 1 cup millet, 200 g pumpkin pulp, 1 cup water, 2 cups milk, 30 g butter, 1 tsp. sugar, a pinch of salt, vanilla on the tip of a knife.
Cooking: Cut the pumpkin, wash the millet and put everything in a pot. Add butter and water mixed with milk, salt, sugar and vanilla. Cover with a lid and put in an oven preheated to 200 degrees for 1 hour.
5. Millet porridge with cracklings

A very simple way to cook hearty millet porridge.
You will need: 600 ml of water, 1 glass of millet, 80 g of salted fat, 1 onion, salt.
Cooking: Rinse the millet and soak for 10 minutes. Cut the onion, lard and fry in a pan until tender. Mix the cereal with the roast in a saucepan, cover with water and boil for 15 minutes. Turn off and salt.
6. Millet porridge with vegetables

Use whatever vegetables you like.
You will need: 3 cups of water, 1 cup of millet, 1 onion, 2 tomatoes, 1 bell pepper, 3 cloves of garlic, 1 zucchini, half a bunch of parsley, 50 ml of vegetable oil, salt, ground black pepper.
Cooking: Rinse the millet, cover with water and boil for 15 minutes. Cut the vegetables, fry until cooked and pour into a pan with porridge. Add salt, chopped herbs, cover with a lid and wrap with a warm towel for half an hour.
7. Millet porridge with chicken

According to this recipe, you can cook millet porridge with turkey, but then increase the stewing time by 15 minutes.
You will need: 1 glass of millet, 3 glasses of water, 300 g of chicken fillet, 1 onion, 1 carrot, a couple of parsley sprigs, 30 ml of vegetable oil, ground black pepper, salt.
Cooking: Cut the meat, onions, carrots and herbs, rinse the grits. Fry onions with carrots, add chicken and cook for 10 minutes. Mix everything with millet, pour warm water and cook for 15 minutes. Salt, pepper and sprinkle with chopped parsley.
8. Millet porridge with eggplant

Eggplant can be fried, baked in the oven or grilled.
You will need: 600 ml water, 200 g millet, 1 eggplant, 1 onion, 0.5 tsp. zira, 2 cloves of garlic, 3 tbsp. vegetable oil, 3 sprigs of basil, 20 g butter, salt, ground black pepper.
Cooking: Eggplant cut into cubes, rinse in salt water and fry with chopped onion in vegetable oil. Rinse millet, salt, mix with eggplant, onion and pour warm water. Boil for 15 minutes over low heat. Pepper, add butter and basil.
9. Rice and millet porridge

A large amount of vanillin will add bitterness.
You will need: 100 g of rice, 100 g of millet, 1 glass of water, 2 glasses of milk, 30 g of butter, vanillin at the tip of a knife, salt, sugar.
Cooking: Rinse the millet and boil for 3 minutes in water with milk. Pour the washed rice, salt, sugar and vanilla. Lower the heat and simmer for another 10 minutes. Add oil, cover with a lid and wrap the porridge with a warm towel for 15 minutes.
10. Millet porridge in pumpkin

Surprise your guests with an original treat!
you needtsya: 1 medium pumpkin, 1 glass of millet, 300 ml of water, a glass of milk, a handful of raisins, a bag of vanilla sugar, 0.5 tsp. sugar, 0.5 tsp salt, 30 g butter.
Cooking: Cut off the top of the pumpkin and use a spoon to scoop out an indentation of the desired size. Fold inside the washed millet with raisins. Add salt, sugar, vanilla sugar and water with milk. Cover the pumpkin with a cut top and place in an oven preheated to 200 degrees for 40 minutes. Add butter when serving.
11. Millet porridge with beef

Ready porridge should be infused under the lid for 10-15 minutes.
You will need: 1 glass of millet, 3 glasses of water, 200 g of beef, 1 onion, 1 carrot, 2 bay leaves, 5 sprigs of parsley, 2 cloves of garlic, 30 ml of vegetable oil, ground black pepper, salt.
Cooking: Chop the onion, meat and greens, grate the carrots. Fry beef with onions, add carrots, bay leaf, warm water and then 20 minutes.
Rinse the millet, cover with cold water, salt and bring to a boil. Pour the meat, chopped garlic and cook for 15 minutes. At the end, salt, pepper and sprinkle with chopped parsley.
12. Millet porridge with cottage cheese

We recommend cooking porridge in a thick-walled pan.
You will need: 200 g millet, 600 ml water, 200 g cottage cheese, 1 tsp. sugar, 30 g butter, a pinch of salt, vanilla on the tip of a knife, berries for decoration.
Cooking: Rinse the grits, cover with cold water, salt and boil for 15 minutes. Rub the cottage cheese through a sieve, mix with sugar and vanilla. Add cottage cheese, butter to the porridge, mix and warm over the fire for another 2 minutes. Decorate the finished dish with berries.
13. Millet porridge with dried fruits

If dried fruits are sour, add more sugar.
You will need: 2 cups of water, 1 cup of milk, 1 cup of millet, a handful of raisins, 100 g of dried apricots, 100 g of pitted prunes, a pinch of salt, 1 tsp. sugar, 30 g butter.
Cooking: Rinse dried fruits and pour boiling water for 10 minutes. Chop prunes and dried apricots. Rinse the millet, add salt, sugar, raisins, dried apricots, prunes and fill with water. Boil everything together for 15 minutes, add oil to the finished porridge.
14. Millet porridge with sauerkraut

Wash the cabbage first under running water.
You will need: 200 g of millet, 3 cups of water, 300 g of sauerkraut, 1 bay leaf, 1 onion, 1 carrot, 5 sprigs of dill, 30 ml of vegetable oil, salt, ground black pepper.
Cooking: Fry chopped onions and carrots until golden brown. Add cabbage, 100 ml of water and simmer for 7 minutes. Add washed millet, water, salt, bay leaf and cook porridge over low heat for 15 minutes. Sprinkle with finely chopped dill before serving.
15. Millet porridge in a slow cooker

Also, delicious millet porridge is obtained in the “Multi-cook” mode.
You will need: 1 glass of milk, 2 glasses of water, 1 glass of millet, a bag of vanilla sugar, 1 tbsp. sugar, a pinch of salt, 40 g butter.
Cooking: Rinse the millet and pour it into the multicooker bowl. Add water, milk, butter, salt, sugar and vanilla sugar. Close the lid, select the Porridge program and cook for 15 minutes.
